Sarah is the founder & CEO of Career Strategy Lab™ a UX career incubator that helps UX professionals grow their skills, confidence, connections, and get hired. She is also the author of the upcoming book, The Product of You, which explores how professionals can leverage design, marketing, and sales strategies to advance their career. Join IxD 4th year Andrea Wilson to learn about making and selling merch as an independent creator using Canadian vendors. Learn which companies make the best merch, how to go about ordering, and practice setting up print files to match printer guidelines.

Furoshiki DIY Eco-bag Workshop

Join IxD 4th year Vivi Sim and dive into her thesis project on sustainable design with a focus on upcycling and practical DIYs. We'll be exploring the concept of Furoshiki, a Japanese fabric folding technique, and you'll have the chance to learn to tie your own reusable shopping bag from upcycled fabric.

RiverBoat Floats is a themed pop-up cart designed by 4th year IXD student, Abigail Hill, that is aimed to engage the community in simple, fun and cost-effective ways. We serve ice cream, coffee and floats while also providing relaxed activities that you and your friends/family can enjoy!

Build Your Own Drag Character

Design and create your own unique drag persona! Led by Guy Anabella, a drag queen and Professor of Creativity & Communications at Sheridan College. Explore your queerness and creative expression through the art of drag! This workshop is open to anyone that is interested in the art of drag. Whether you're drawn to drag queens, drag kings, nonbinary expression, monster/creature drag, or a mix of those forms, this workshop is for you!

No prior experience in drag is required, just an open heart and an open mind. This workshop is geared towards queer folx, however allies are also welcome to explore.

Make your own Pen Plot

Join IxD Alumni Daniella, Heather and Valeriia as they share their experiences in the workplace in a Q&A conference-style discussion. Topics include nuances in workplace size, working with cross-timezone teams, seeking mentorship after graduation, and more!

Join IxD 4th year Rebecca Mathews practical insights and skills to navigate communication challenges in diverse teams effectively. Exit Interviews

Students meet with professors for a final exit interview upon graduating from IXD. Exit interviews are part of final assignments for the courses, Collaborative Workshop 2 and Portfolio Project 2. Please check with your professor to confirm the time and location of your exit interview.

Sheridan’s Interaction Design Association (IXDA) is thrilled to host the second gala of IXD to celebrate the graduating class of 2024! Featuring an exciting program of fantastic music, delectable snacks, and an opportunity to share hilarious memories collected over the past four years of pure joy and wildness.

Awards Ceremony

We begin the Awards Gala on campus where we will collectively nominate and vote specific members of our IXD community for fun and wacky titles.

$2 Entrance Ticket

After the award ceremony we will head over across the campus to Monaghan’s Sports Pub & Grill to wrap up the evening with food, refreshments, games, and even more awards!

Your $2 entrance ticket covers food and pop provided at the pub. Tickets will be sold in-person during YES events prior to the Gala. Tickets will also be sold on-site during the Award Ceremony and at the pub.
