Kitchen Count

Keep count of the food in your kitchen.

why?

Around 14.6 billion dollars' worth of food is thrown out of Canadian households annually. When combined with the fact that the average Canadian spends around 15% of their total income on groceries, we see that there is a problem with how we keep track of our food.

what?

Kitchen count is an application that works alongside of specially equipped containers that track the weight of the contents and relay the information back to a user's device. Users will be able to know how much food they have and how long they have to consume it before it expires.

how?

Kitchen Count will reduce the amount of food we waste by visually reminding users of what food they have before it expires as well always ensuring that our kitchens stay stocked with the food we need the most.
