About me

About
I am an ambitious designer that enjoys untangling complicated problems. I’m interested in turning complex systems into simple, beautiful and functional end-to-end experiences. Product design challenges that allow me to explore beyond what already exists get me excited. I like thinking about different ways to improve the relationships between people, technology and business needs.

Q&A
If design doesn't work out for you, what do you think you'd be doing instead?
Owning a boba shop that’s part co-working space, part art gallery, part dance studio.

What music do you listen to whilst designing?
Instrumental jazz hip hop music. This is usually my go-to.

FUN FACTS
I once got a freelance design opportunity from a Tinder match. Instead of profile photos of me, I had screenshots of my work and my bio was a link to my design portfolio.

I beat an NBA player at basketball… at a Dave and Busters in California.

Totally nerd out over beautifully designed case studies and process documentation. I dig the behind the scenes of the design process and observing those little big details.

Sometimes we need a little help getting our foot in the door. Step into the real world with Footsteps.

why?

As the world evolves and changes, so do the jobs around us. Because the skills required for these jobs are constantly shifting, it’s challenging to prepare for them. Students are especially prone to feeling underprepared when looking for jobs and could benefit from opportunities beyond the classroom.

what?

Footsteps is a mobile application that allows students to discover events around them where they can gain valuable workplace knowledge and experience. Students can search for events based off their interests, location and friends attending.

how?

While interviewing students, job-seekers, teachers and industry professionals, I learned that face-to-face conversations were of the most value to a positive experience when exploring various career paths. I also learned that direct exposure and engagement in skill-related opportunities is an important part of the job seeking process. These key insights helped me determine what the essential features of the application should be.
